Perindopril/Indapamide is a combination medication that contains perindopril and indapamide. It is mainly used for the treatment of adults with mild to severe high blood pressure levels.

Perindopril belongs to the group of medications called angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors or ACE inhibitors. It works by helping the blood vessels to relax and it also allows the heart to pump adequate blood that carries purified oxygen to all parts of the body even more efficiently. Indapamide is a class of medication called water pills or diuretics that helps in controlling the blood pressure levels by removing excessive amounts of salt and water from the body through the kidneys.

People with decreased liver functions, liver cirrhosis, decreased kidney functions, heart failure, and diabetes and gout should take this medication carefully. However, it should not be given to people who are allergic to ACE inhibitors, severe decreased kidney functions, and people undergoing dialysis, decreased liver functions, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
