The initial recommended dosage for the patients who are already receiving diuretics is 7.5mg per day. This drug should be administered one hour before taking meals. The drug dosage can be increased or decreased with the improvement seen on the patients after the administration of the drug. The influence of this drug may get reduced towards the end of the dosing interval. So it would be recommended to check the blood pressure before you take the drug to see the effective improvement in the condition. It the blood pressure is not controlled to the satisfactory level the dosage can be increased from 7.5mg per day to 30mg per day. The higher dosages can be divided into two equal dosages if required. Patients who are already administered with diuretic drugs can be recommended to discontinue the diuretic for two to three days before starting intake of Moexipril medication.
